So I got a chance to experience the skin treatment services through VLCC. Let me take you through my experience and the results for the same. Honestly speaking I have never been a fan of skin care during my college years, probably because I have always had problem free skin and whatever lil things I tried didn’t make much of a difference. But probably that was the careless and naïve me who didn’t know that skin care doesn’t mean how changed the skin looks from outside after every facial/ clean up session but also how healthy it is from inside as well. The firmness, the elasticity, the fine lines, black heads and those hidden bumps, they all are the parameters when we talk about the benefits of regular skin care routine. And when you cross 30, it becomes all the more important so that the skin ageing is not very quick and visible. Having said that, when I received this opportunity, I wasn’t as excited as I should have been cos I thought it to be a just another skin care routine (the usual facials and clean ups) but boy I was taken aback by the effectiveness of this procedure and much visible results. I needed no highlighter for the next couple of days altogether and the skin felt so clean, so radiant and visibly brighter. The uneven skin tone because of tanning and the dead skin was all gone. I absolutely loved the outcome and cannot wait to get it done again. The procedure I went under was Chemical Peeling, also known as Chemexfoliation Dermapeeling, which is a technique used to treat a number of conditions, including dull, ageing skin, fine lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Peeling treatment of skin allows quick skin regeneration, removes wrinkles, and smoothens the skin. Skin peeling is a very safe and medically approved procedure, and probably that’s why I opted for it. I am still legit scared of trying any laser treatment on my skin.

In this treatment, alpha and beta hydfroxiacids are applied to the skin, which results in exfoliation of the top layer of the skin. The new skin that shows up is smoother, luminous and rejuvenated. Peeling (in literal terms as well) refers to removal of dead skin from topical surface in order to develop new cells which make skin firmer and fresher. During the procedure, after the first rounds of cleansing and exfoliation, skin was covered with a mesh cloth with the Biopeel product to rest for about 20 minutes. The lactic acid and salicylic acid boosts the exfoliation process encourages the shedding of dead skin cells. When it was wiped, I could actually see the dead skin coming off. Following which a massage with Vitamin C ampoule is done to boost skin’s defense system along with lightening the appearance of dark spots. One more session of massage followed before the last Mask. This process totally stimulates the skin’s repair, rejuvenate the skin, boosts cell renewal and enhance firmness, freshness and radiance, which was so very well visible on my face. See the video above. For all the questions regarding the Peeling treatment for Acne problems, I suggest taking a consultation session first wherein the dermatologist can examine the problem skin and can advice accordingly. I would love to listen to your experience of this peeling procedure if any or feel free to ping me in case of any queries. Website for reference: https://www.vlccwellness.com/Kuwait/en/

*This is a sponsored post but all opinions are from my personal experience* Postpartum Hair Loss IS for Real and that’s what I experienced. It took me days to realize that I am losing more hair than normal and my helper to point out “Madam hair hair everywhere”.. still I hung on and kept thinking may b its because of last week’s heat styling session. My hubby’s constant assurance that its all in your mind made me stable only until the next hair brushing session. I decided to reach out and talk about it to more experienced people around me and the moment I said I am losing more hair than usual they nodded with utmost ease and mumbled “yaa it happens”.. They seemed too cool about it, and I was too busy to bother more. My lil bundle of joy had brought about so many changes in my life already that losing hair was just one more addition to it.. Main reason for this hair fall is the dropped level of Estrogen hormone which was high and mighty when you were pregnant and hence was enjoying your lustrous mane. As soon as you deliver the hormone levels start dropping resulting in hair entering the resting phase and hence falling out. You just have to be sure that its not because of Anemia or Thyroid or any other health issue as the usual postpartum hair fall will subside by itself within 6-12 months. Till then, as I said, Just Hang On and take care of lil things here and there. I am compiling a list of certain tips and tricks to cope up with this situation because I know how vulnerable this Postpartum time is. A small comfort hug and tip goes a long way for a busy confused unsure First time mom. So here you go – 1. Be Gentle: No need for tight hair updos, too many pins or plastic rubber bands. Brush ‘em hair gently cos if u put a lil extra pressure on that tangle, probabilities are it ll come out as whole onto your brush, Lol, so just be gentle and be patient. 2. Lighten Up: as I Lol’d in the above point I realized that its very important to highlight that please ladies lighten up and think of it as a phase that’s going to end soon. More stress might just mean more trouble and if u need a reason to smile just caress your bubs cheeks softly :D 3. Hair Nutrition: Gorge on those Greens (Leafy vegetables & others), Eat your Proteins (Eggs), Omegas (Fish) and Colors (Carrots). Stay hydrated. More than your hair your body needs it too. Try to take some prenatal multivitamins as well. 4. Home Remedies: Dump those chemical enriched conditioners and masks for natural homemade remedies. Onion juice and Egg whites mask were my favorite ones. 5. Go easy on Heat: For once I thought lets not even include this one here cos who got the time for Heat styling the hair. Don’t be ambitious. But for the lucky ones who have some help, you can try skipping the styling sessions for a while to not damage the already falling hair. 6. Try to hide it out: If it is in its worse shape you can try some human hair lace front wigs for the time being. I came across this beauty e-commerce company Divatress which offers thousands of wigs and hair care products online. Wearing a wig actually lets you sport different hairstyles and be a more confident version of yourselves in these tough times. The variety is huge and you can choose between Lace front wigs, Half Wigs, Weaves, Braids and Remy hair. And you never know you might start to enjoy wearing different looks so much that you make it a must have for yourself in future too. I have shared my pictures from Pre-preg lustrous tresses to thinner & almost a bald patch-in-progress to fuller regular hair a year later. I am grateful that I am blessed with good hair genes and so happy to come back to the previous good hair days, with a lil texture change here and there. Yea the frequency of “OMG you have got gorgeous hair” compliment has reduced greatly but I still manage to get some on a good hair day. And as I survived I ensure you all beautiful young mums that you all will bounce back too, all you gotta do is CHILL and take a look at that tiny human you just made. Ain’t it worth so much more. *Kisses* Much Love. Happy Mommying. |
